Alizarin Red Solution, 2 oz / 62.5 ml

Description

Used to differentiate calcite from dolomite. Cover chips with thin layer of water, add 2–3 drops of stain, wait up to 3 minutes, rinse. Calcite turns deep pink/red-orange; dolomite turns faint pink or no stain.
